Portsmouth and Oxford United are considering £200,000 moves for St Mirren star Ethan Erhahon
The League One sides are keen on the Scotland Under-21 midfielder, while Italian side Sassuolo have also had him scouted.
Erhahon is going into the final year of his contract but has been involved under new boss Stephen Robinson and it would take a decent six-figure bid to even get the Buddies to the negotiating table.
Robinson has already moved to strengthen his squad. He has signed midfielder Mark O’Hara from Motherwell and Keanu Baccus from Western Sydney Wanderers on pre-contracts.
The Paisley Saints have also agreed a nominal fee to sign Northern Irish international keeper Trevor Carson from Dundee United this summer.
And Robinson has also extended left-back Scott Tanser’s deal until 2024.
The gaffer said: “We’re delighted to have Scott staying with us.”
