When you think of best-selling perfumes, your mind immediately goes to Chanel, YSL Beauty and Estée Lauder. The company launched its first perfume in 1953 and fast-forward to 2024, its signature scents are getting major makeovers.
Perfume editor Frédéric Malle teamed up with the beauty giant to launch the Legacy Fragrance Collection, which reinvents some of Estée Lauder's iconic aromas. The collection features five fresh scents: Azurée Legacy, Private Collection, White Linen, Knowing Legacy and Estée Legacy.
Azurée Legacy is made up of herbs and spices that immediately transport you to the Mediterranean coast. On the other hand, Private Collection is comprised of basil and galbanum, which gives off a sophisticated floral scent. White Linen is described as a "neoclassical accord" with notes of amber, musk and vetiver. Characterized as an "olfactory tapestry of the richest textures," Knowing Legacy blends rose with patchouli and amber. Meanwhile, Estée Legacy mixes sandalwood with notes of honey.
Each fragrance in the Legacy Fragrance Collection retails for $280 at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
