ESPN’s Mina Kimes threw a perfect strike on first pitch before Mariners game

The Mariners aren’t having a terrible season by any means, but they’re definitely not enjoying themselves either. A little over two months into the season, they’re 26-31 and in a distant third place to the Astros in the AL West.

When the Red Sox (-1.5 favorites) visited Seattle on Friday night, the Mariners needed a new secret weapon. Someone who could throw strikes and keep the ball over the plate — you know, quality pitching.

Why not ESPN NFL analyst and diehard Seahawks fan Mina Kimes? Kimes, of course, threw out the first pitch as an honored guest.

And she nailed it.

You have one job as a pitcher: Get the ball over the plate. Kimes did her job. Now, if they had any sense in them, maybe the Mariners would call Kimes and talk business.
