ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ Announces Seattle as Week 7 Destination

The Pac-12 has established itself as arguably the toughest conference in college football this year, with four undefeated teams and three more squads with just one loss. Therefore, there are many big games in the conference this season, and College GameDay will be traveling to the biggest of the year, so far, next week.

ESPN announced that the network’s flagship college football pregame show will be in Seattle next weekend ahead of the matchup between No. 7 Washington and No. 8 Oregon, the two top-ranked teams in the conference. The game also represents the only matchup between top-10 teams on the schedule next week.

While Oregon, No. 9 USC and Colorado have all gotten national attention, Washington is actually the top-ranked team in the conference. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is a Heisman Trophy contender, leading the country with 1,999 passing yards, and the Huskies’ passing offense as a whole is the most explosive in college football.

College GameDay has not been to Seattle since 2016, when then-No. 4 Washington hosted USC in what would be their only regular season loss before making a College Football Playoff appearance.

The Pac-12 has three current top-10 teams in Washington, Oregon and USC, and all three of those teams play each other this year. Later in the season, the Trojans have back-to-back games against the other two, first hosting the Huskies on Nov. 4 before traveling to play the Ducks in Eugene on Nov. 11.
