ESPN’s College Gameday is headed back to Tuscaloosa, Ala., next Saturday for an early-season showdown between two of college football’s elite programs.
The network’s flagship pregame show announced its Week 2 destination Saturday morning, sharing that its crew will be on site for one of next week’s top-25 matchup between Texas and Alabama. The last time College GameDay visited Tuscaloosa was when prior to the Crimson Tide’s 41-24 win over Georgia on Oct. 17, 2020.
But, nearly one year ago to the date, the crew was in Austin to watch Bryce Young orchestrate a dramatic drive that led to the winning 33-yard field goal by Will Reichard.

The Texas-Alabama matchup also marks the last time the teams will clash in nonconference action, as the Longhorns will join the SEC ahead of the ’24 college football season. Texas opens the ’23 season against Rice while Alabama plays host to Middle Tennessee State.
Next week’s show will begin live from Tuscaloosa at 9 a.m. ET.
