After much speculation regarding the status of Philadelphia Eagles defensive assistant Vic Fangio, we finally have some clarity on the situation.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that Fangio has decided to join the Miami Dolphins as the team’s defensive coordinator after conversations with multiple teams. He will officially accept the job after the Super Bowl, which the Eagles are participating in.
News originally came out on Sunday that Fangio and the Dolphins had agreed to terms, but after reports from a number of sources claimed that he was still undecided, fans began to speculate whether or not he’d actually sign.
Now, Miami has their plans known, and the hiring of positional coaches will happen soon after. It will be interesting to see if they keep any of Josh Boyer’s staff going forward.
