For years, Joe Buck has been the face of FOX Sports. He’s called countless World Series, Super Bowls and has generally been the straight-line voice of some of the most significant sports moments in recent history. His NFL time in particular — especially alongside Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman — has made the play-by-play commentator a household name.
That relationship will continue as Buck is reportedly taking his talents to ESPN and ‘Monday Night Football,’ according to the New York Post.

Buck’s move comes on the heels of Aikman’s recent move to ESPN. Many had speculated that Buck might stay in FOX’s No. 1 NFL slot with Greg Olsen or former Saints head coach Sean Payton becoming his new partner. Buck and Aikman evidently cannot quit each other (in addition to being handsomely compensated, no doubt).
Both are now at the helm of pro football’s most iconic broadcast which has, quite frankly, needed a bit of a facelift and reboot for a while now.
It’s good work if you can get it.
