The Minnesota Vikings have a lot of decisions to make this offseason when it comes to their impending free agents. One of those free agents is defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, and in a recent article by ESPN, Tomlinson is the 30th-ranked free agent this upcoming free agency.
“Tomlinson is a 325-pound nose guard who can play in 30 or 40 fronts. He can clog up running lanes with his size and strength while using his lateral quickness to engulf ball carriers. With 13 sacks over six seasons, Tomlinson isn’t going to bring high-end pass-rush production, but he will demand double-teams and provide an interior push to take away quarterbacks’ throwing platforms.”
The Vikings originally signed Tomlinson in 2021. Now that the offseason is in full swing, they’ll need to decide if they want to retain the big man. With ESPN having Tomlinson ranked as the 30th-best free agent, it could mean that Tomlinson will have suitors outside of the Vikings this offseason.
