A sheep and lamb were spotted wandering around a retail park over two days. The escaped farm animals were reportedly first spotted in the Tesco Extra car park in Culverhouse Cross on Tuesday, May 2.
The following morning they had migrated over the road near TK Maxx over the road, and then shortly afterwards they ambled about the Peter Alan Head Office car park. Bemused onlookers called the authorities and local farmers to get help and attempted to give them water in the meantime, but they ran away every time they were approached.
It wasn't until mid-afternoon on Wednesday that they were finally removed. Libby Lewis, 22, who works locally, said it was the first time she had ever seen sheep wandering about the area, which is surrounded by fields. "As we pulled up to work [at 8.30am] we saw the sheep by TK Maxx and within 10 minutes they were outside our office. We all went outside to have a look and they were head butting the window."
She continued: "It was posted on social media and two local men contacted us to advise that they would come and take them to their farm until the owners stepped forward. However after half an hour of chasing the sheep and finally getting them safe, the police turned up and took them back to the owners."
South Wales Police and the RSCPA have been approached for comment.
