Escape to the Chateau's Dick Strawbridge's life looked vastly different in the 1980s as he was married to environmentalist and author Brigit Weiner before finding television fame.
Dick, 62, and Angel Strawbridge, 43, have two children together, Arthur, nine, and Dorothy, eight, who star in the show, but Dick also has two children from his first marriage.
His first wife, Brigit, is a British engineer, television presenter and environmentalist who tied the knot with Dick back in 1982. The couple raised their firstborn James, now 38, followed by Charlotte, now 34, together before seeking a divorce in 2010.

The reason for their divorce is not clear as neither party has ever referenced it publicly.
Brigit has since moved on to be with Rob Howard, who she remains very happy with. Though not much is known about her new partner, MarriedCeleb reported they tied the knot back in 2017. To date, it is estimated Brigit is worth over £200,000 due to her environmentalist career and the book she released in 2019, titled Dancing with Bees: A Journey Back to Nature.
