Dick Strawbridge ignored his wife Angel's idea for the couple's 19-century home in a hilarious episode of Escape to the Chateau.
The couple were exploring their newly discovered attic, which hadn't seen the light of day for more than 150 years.
Sizing up the space with their roofer pal, Steve, Dick, 62, and Angel, 43, couldn't get over the area with the mum-of-two excitedly describing what she'd envisaged.
Looking around, she said: “Can we have a sky bar in here?"
However the father-of-four made no comment as he continued to admire the stunning views from the window.
Realising his tactic, Angel and Steve began to laugh with the queen of vintage saying she'd love the room to have a “balcony and a big telescope”.
Still waxing lyrical about the space, she remarked: 'When you said an attic, I thought you meant a little room you could barely stand up in.
“It's completely beautiful up here.
“This is stunning. I understand we need to plasterboard it and insulate it, but I'd hate to get rid of all this shape."
Dick's hope to use the space for storage were soon dashed as he eventually gave into his wife's pleas.
One of the earliest jobs in the room was insulating the area.
It was no easy task, but despite her husband’s reservations, Angel enjoyed watching the space transform saying: “It does feel very galaxy-like!”
After Dick added a staircase to gain access to the attic, space, the stylist began furnishing the newly renovated bar with stunning results.
Viewers couldn't get over the transformation after Angel hung gold galaxy-esque mural on a navy wall and decorated disco balls to look like planets that were swinging from the ceiling.
Delighted with her efforts, Angel gushed: “There is something about this room that is so magical - because it's ours. I actually feel like I'm in a nightclub, all these gorgeous lights and glitter balls.”
The couple and their kids Arthur and Dorothy recently wrapped up their tour, Dare to Do It - So Much More To Say, after five weeks on the road.
Taking to Instagram, they said: "We are home ... after nearly 6 weeks on the road touring, we arrived back to the Chateau in the early hours of yesterday morning. It's truly been an honour and a privilege and we have loved every second."
