Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge teased a 'highly emotional' final episode to the series.
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine, they talked about how they had wrapped up filming for the Channel 4 show last week and tears were flowing. The popular show has grown a loyal following since it first aired in back in 2016, with each series following Dick, Angel and their family as they they bring a dilapidated 45-room French chateau back to its former glory.
Recently, the couple confirmed that the ninth series of Escape to the Chateau will be airing soon - but it will be the last.

Lorraine asked: "Are you going to end the series on a high then?" Angel replied: "We literally finished filming a week ago and it was really emotional."
Dick said: "Yeah, so emotional." Angel continued: "My mum kept crying all the time. But it was really happy emotion.
"You know those moments? It was really beautiful." Dick added: "Joyful is how I would describe it."
Teasing what could be in store for the future, Angel said: "We are saying that it is the end of a chapter, not of a book. There's a lot to do." She added: "It's going to be an ongoing project." Dick chimed in as he said: "Plus we have the rest of France to explore."
