With the weather starting to turn that bit warmer as we head towards summer, many will be looking towards the Co Fermanagh waters for a day out.
There was no surprise then that more than sixty people turned out for the official launch of the spring programme for local watersports group Erne Paddlers last Saturday.
The Co Fermanagh canoe club’s taster event saw children as young as seven all the way up to those in their sixties take part in a range of activities, from kayaks to stand up paddle boarding.

Erne Paddlers Club Development Officer Harry Harrington was delighted to see so many new faces at the event.
"At Erne Paddlers, we are passionate about helping people get involved in paddlesport, so it was great to see such a fantastic turn out.
“The feedback was very positive, and we hope that many of those who came to the event on Saturday will come back and paddle with us again.
“It was also very rewarding to see all our coaches and volunteers doing a brilliant job introducing the sport they love and get so much benefit from, to a whole group of new people.”
Erne Paddlers will now see their spring programme kick off on April 25 following a five day Easter camp, with the club offering courses to people at every level and age.
