With Manchester City having lost their last four games the SportsCasting traders have updated the Erling Haaland next club odds – with some suggesting the Blue Moon star striker will be heading out of the Etihad at the end of this season.
Could Erling Haaland Be Looking For His Next Challenge?
Erling Haaland has helped Man City to two Premier League titles and a Champions League win in 2022/23 – but with Pep Guardiola’s men stuttering this season, there are rumours their star striker could be looking for his next challenge.
City forked out £51.2m to land Haaland back in 2022 and that looks a bargain now with the hitman having bagged over 100 goals for the Manchester club.
His stats are solid again this season with 12 league goals and three in Europe (as of 13th Nov 24), but from their opening 11 Premier League matches, City have won just seven (2 draws, 2 defeats) – which by their high standards is not great.
As a result, with just over a quarter of the season gone, Man City trail Liverpool in the title race by 5 points.
Add in all the off-the-field court battles City are having at the moment – with the club facing financial charges – then could Erling Haaland already be eyeing up his next club?
With that in mind, the odds traders at SportsCasting have revised the Erling Haaland next club odds – and, as you can see, it’s two Spanish giants that have come out as favourites to land his signature.

Haaland Has Said He Wants To Play In All Five Top European Leagues
Before joining City, Erling Haaland also made it no secret that over his career he wants to play in all five of the top European leagues.
He’s already ticked off Germany with his time at Borussia Dortmund, plus, of course, England with Man City.
With leaves – Spain, France and Italy – to complete the sweep.
Haaland is still only 24 years-old, so has plenty of time (as long as he stays injury-free) to rack-up playing in the other three countries.
However, you feel, that with Haaland at his prime his next switch would allow football fans to see him at his very best (if there is still more to come).
So, if the best football betting sites in the UK and the SportsCasting traders are right, Barcelona will be his next move.
Barcelona Will Be Looking For A Robert Lewandowski Replacement Soon
Polish and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski might not be quite done yet – the 36 year-old is still banging in the goals for club and country, but at his age the Spanish giants will already have one eye on his replacement and Haaland will be top of their list.
Of course, if Barcelona are to get Haaland they are going to have to vastly improve the £51.2m fee City paid for him.
As it stands the record European transfer record is €222m that Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar.
However, you feel this might be smashed if Barcelona want to land Haaland – we’ll see.
Barcelona are the clear favourites (2/1) to land Haaland’s signature next. Making this more likely than Man City winning the Premier League this season.
Talking of PSG, they are third best in the Erling Haaland next club odds market at 6/1 – and with their financial backing they are sure to enter the race should the Norwegian want a City exit in the summer.
When Does Erling Haaland’s Man City Contract Expire?
Haaland’s contract at Man City expires at the end of the 2026-27. Having signed a five year deal back in 2022.
Many are also linking a potential Haaland move to how long Man City manager Pep Guardiola stays at the club.
Should Pep leave at the end of this season, then surely this will also make many of their star names think twice about staying.
Could Erling Haaland Cash-in In Saudi?
At 10/1 in the Erling Haaland next club odds market, a switch to ANY Saudi Club isn’t totally ruled out. Just ask Ivan Toney.
However, at just 24 years-old, this would still be a strange move for Haaland. Despite it likely to be a mega-lucrative deal.
Haaland will still want to win things and win things in Europe. While, as mentioned, he’s expressed his desire to play in the main five European leagues – so a move to Saudi side looks wide of the mark at this stage of his career.
