Soon-to-be Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has said that as many as seven strikers are better than him in world football.
The Norwegian will be playing Premier League football next season after agreeing a move to the Etihad Stadium. A statement on the club website read: "Manchester City can confirm we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the club on 1st July 2022. The transfer remains subject to the club finalising terms with the player."
City will undoubtedly be stronger now that Haaland has agreed to join the club, but according to the 21-year-old, there are seven others who would've been equally as good, if not better, purchases. As per the Sun, In an interview with VG in October of 2020, he stated that Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Kylian Mbappe are better than him.

Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Tottenham star Harry Kane were also considered amongst the seven, whilst perhaps surprisingly, Timo Werner and Roberto Firmino joined the list.
Of course, as that was a while ago, his answer may be different now. He may feel as though he's surpassed those mentioned, particularly Werner and Firmino who've struggled recently. He's established himself as one of the most feared strikers in Europe who's destined for big things in the Premier League and with Pep Guardiola's tutelage, he could go onto become even more prolific in England.
