Erling Haaland declared Manchester City completed the task they set out to achieve against Bournemouth after the striker netted in the club’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth.
The Norway sensation bagged City’s second goal of the match on 29 minutes to keep up his goal-a-game ratio having scored 33 goals already this term. Haaland leads the golden boot race by 10 goals, with Harry Kane in second on 17.
Julian Alvarez opened the scoring against the Cherries on 15 minutes before Phil Foden marked his 200th first-team Blues appearance with a goal just before half-time following Haaland’s strike.

An own goal from Chris Mepham following Alvarez’s shot put the nail in the coffin on 51 minutes although Jefferson Lerma managed to find a consolation for the hosts seven minutes from time. The win keeps City within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal having played a game more than the Gunners.
Haaland had gone through a dip in goal-scoring form before the game, netting once in his previous six matches. But the attacker now has two goals in his last three league outings and was pleased with his side’s display against Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
Taking to Instagram, the 22-year-old wrote: “Got what we came for,” adding plus and number three emojis. Speaking after the win over the Cherries, Guardiola was pleased with how his side performed as the title race hots up.
"It's tough because we play lots of games away this last month, no recovery, three days, big travels, lots of pressure, demanding physicality,” he said.
“Today to come here, behaving the way we behave, it makes me feel okay we have the desire to try. We will try to fight for this Premier League, I have no doubts."
Hailing the visiting City fans, some of whom will have made a 500-mile round trip, Guardiola added: "We spoke about [going to the fans] in the locker room, we have to stay there longer.
“Five or six hours, they put their contribution to come here. We can give them the respect they deserve and stay there. See their faces how happy they are when we win, good feelings.
"Families, tell me something else can be better than that. Our supporters away are incredible, thank you again for coming, safe trip back home and we see you soon."
