Erling Haaland and Sergio Gomez to start - Man City fans name line-up they want vs Nottingham Forest

Manchester City will be looking to make it back-to-back home wins in the Premier League when they take on Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium tonight.

Pep Guardiola's side fought back from two goals down to beat Crystal Palace 4-2 on Saturday as they completed a thrilling second-half comeback. Erling Haaland scored his first hat-trick for the Blues, with all three of his goals coming within 19 minutes of each other as City roared into life during the second half.

Despite the win, that is now two games in a row where City have found themselves two goals down - something that Guardiola will have no doubt worked on in training ahead of the Forest match.

Kalvin Phillips, Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake have all been struggling with injuries recently, but Guardiola confirmed that the trio have since returned to training. The club are now entering a busy period of fixtures, with six games in 18 days coming up, and the Spaniard does not want to risk any chance of further injuries as he effectively ruled out their involvement against Forest.

Therefore, how do City's fans want the Blues to line-up this evening? MEN Sport has taken a close look at what they have voted for using our interactive widget ( see below ).

Unsurprisingly, the supporters have voted to keep Ederson in goal. The City goalkeeper has won three successive golden gloves and will be hoping to keep his third clean sheet of the season tonight.

In defence, they want to see one change with Sergio Gomez coming in for Joao Cancelo. It would be Gomez's first start for the Blues should Guardiola rotate his side.

The fans are calling for Ilkay Gundogan to return to the starting XI, as they want the German to line-up alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri. The decision would see Bernardo Silva, who scored the first of City's four goals against Palace, drop to the bench.

In attack, the debate around whether Haaland should be rested for Julian Alvarez is a clear decision for the fans as they pick the Norwegian striker to start against Forest. There is no change on either wing as they opt for both Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden to start alongside the 22-year-old.

Starting line-up City's fans want to see vs Nottingham Forest: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Stones, Gomez; Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Haaland, Foden.
