Erin McGregor updates fans after surgery to remove botched breast implants

Erin McGregor has updated fans after undergoing surgery to remove her botched breast implants and says she is "doing really well".

Conor McGregor’s sister was one of the hundreds of Irish women who are part of the Poly Implant Prostheses breast implant scandal.

It was revealed that the implants used on these patients were not approved for medical use because they were made from a cheaper, industrial-grade silicone and were causing ruptures at a rate that was double the industry average.

Taking to Instagram to update fans, McGregor said she did not want to talk about her surgery to remove the botched implants but said she decided to do it because so many women have been impacted by the dangerous PIP implants.

Erin said she has been doing "really well" and that the "pain meds have been amazing" even though the "last few days have been a bit blurry from the meds".

She said: "I put clingfilm around my chest. There's still all brown sticky paper there. So that's a little bit wet and then you have like a sports bra on."

Erin said her fiance Terry has been helping her and even washing her but added that she "doesn't actually need as much minding as what she thought".

The Irish celeb said she kept putting off the surgery which she was supposed to do years ago until finally she went to her doctor and asked him, "Have you got something tomorrow?".

She said she didn't want to have to overthink it "because I've been thinking about it for so long, I don't want to be lying in bed awake thinking about my surgery."

She also added: "I was grand after the anaesthetic which I'm normally sick after."

Erin previously said she had been quoted €7,500 to fix her botched boob job and that she was too scared to get them done in case something happened to her while under the knife.
