Erik ten Hag told James Garner 'wish' after Man Utd beat Liverpool

Manchester United fans have sent Erik ten Hag a message over James Garner.

Garner was not in the United squad for their pre-season friendly against Liverpool in Bangkok on Tuesday. His omission prompted Nottingham Forest fans to encourage the young midfielder to return to the City Ground for the new season, having helped them win promotion from the Championship during the last campaign.

And while United fans were very happy to see their side cruise to a 4-0 victory against Jurgen Klopp's side, some supporters were disappointed Garner was not involved.
