Erik ten Hag tells Manchester United players what they must do while Marcus Rashford is injured

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has called on his players to adapt amid Marcus Rashford's absence against Sevilla on Thursday evening.

Rashford was substituted on Saturday after picking up a groin injury in the 2-0 victory over Everton. In his press conference on Wednesday, Ten Hag confirmed that the England international will miss out on the Europa League quarter-final first leg and a 'few other games'.

However, thankfully for United, Ten Hag believes that the player will be back 'quickly' ahead of the run-in. When asked about options to replace Rashford, the Dutchman explained that he is confident with the players he has at his disposal.

"Yes, we have a squad," he told United's official website. "We have squad depth and we can replace [him]. Of course when players fell away, [we can] bring in other qualities into the team and as a team you have to adjust. Maybe go a little bit different but still we know what we have to do. We have to win games and we want to win in an adventurous and proactive way."

It is likely that either Anthony Martial or Wout Weghorst will be called upon to chip in with goals in Rashford's absence. Having scored against the Toffees, Martial is favourite to keep his place with the change potentially coming in midfield.

Bruno Fernandes has played on the wings this season and may be asked to do so again in midweek. So far this season, Rashford has scored 28 goals for United, 18 more than the second highest goalscorer Fernandes.
