Erik ten Hag has sent a transfer message to his entire Manchester United squad following his second game in charge.
After beating Liverpool 4-0 in a pre-season friendly in Thailand on Tuesday, United made it two wins from two under their new boss, coming from behind to earn a 4-1 victory over A-League side Melbourne Victory in Australia on Friday.
Following Chris Ikonmidis' opener, United led at the break with Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial both notching on the stroke of half-time. Marcus Rashford made it 3-1 in the final 15 minutes before an own goal from Edmond Lupancu late on sealed another win for the Red Devils.
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag said that pre-season was a great opportunity for his players to prove their worth and that off the back of their performances they will either be kept, sent out on loan or sold.
"A really compact opponent [Melbourne]," Ten Hag told MUTV after the win. "It was difficult for us to create chances. I think the team reacted really good, especially on the right side. We got our reward when we turned it around.
"I would say against opponents who are also coming forward, sometimes it's easier. But when opponents are that far back, you have to invest in running, opposite running, more ball control and also intelligence to create something.

"I want to have an impression from all the players and give them the chance to show what they're capable of, if they can contribute, maybe to Man United or a loan period is better, there are also other possibilities. It's good that United have some talents but we need improvement and we need development."
Among those players so far taking their chances is French forward Martial, who joined United in 2015 from Monaco in a deal worth up to £58m including add-ons. Martial has scored twice in as many matches this summer so far.
This comes off the back of a 2021/22 campaign that saw Martial spend the second half of the season out on loan with Sevilla, where he scored just twice in 23 appearances during his combined outings with United and the Spanish side.
Reports earlier this week claimed that Ten Hag has been told to get the best out of Martial this summer instead of turning to the transfer market to add a new forward to his squad.
Martial is believed to be co-chairman Joel Glazer's favourite player and since his United arrival, the forward has made 269 appearances in all competitions, scoring 79 goals for the Reds.
United have so far made two signings this summer, completing a move worth up to £15m for left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, as well as snapping up midfielder Christian Eriksen on a free transfer following his exit from Brentford.
