Erik ten Hag hailed Marcus Rashford's "great form" as he took his tally to nine goals for Manchester United this season.
Rashford struck United's second in their 2-0 League Cup fourth round win over Burnley with a solo goal that started from inside his own half.
The 25-year-old scored three times for England during the World Cup and Ten Hag likened him to France sensation Kylian Mbappe earlier this month.

"I think he invested a lot once again with a lot of runs behind the defending line and he scored a great goal in the dribble, great finish," Ten Hag said. "I think he is in great form and of course I hope he can keep his focus and this performance.
"I think he is on a very good level, his performances are improving a lot from game to game. He's a continued threat but also many other games this season he's scored a lot of goals and does a lot of defending work.
"So I'm really happy with his performances. I hope and expect him to keep going with his performance level."
United saw off Championship leaders Burnley with a professional performance to send them through to the quarter-finals of the League Cup in their first fixture in 38 days.
Nottingham Forest visit Old Trafford on December 27 in United's penultimate Premier League of the calendar year and Ten Hag was satisfied with their performance against Burnley.
"You never know, it's always difficult after an international break," Ten Hag added, "especially when they are five weeks not playing together. I don't think this team that we put on the pitch ever played together. But they played our principles and our rules of football and I am pleased with the performance and the win.
"We scored two goals, we had to score many more goals, a clean sheet, although we also created some good chances for them I would say.
"But from this point on we have to step up, we have to do better, we have great ambitions and we have to do better against Forest, that's clear."
