Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has stressed the importance of signing players in time for the start of pre-season.
Mason Mount, United's only summer signing, will make his first appearance in the friendly against Leeds United in Oslo on Wednesday amid the club's interest in signing a goalkeeper and a striker.
United have had positive discussions about a deal for Inter Milan goalie Andre Onana and football director John Murtough has also held talks about Atalanta centre forward Rasmus Hojlund.
Mount completed his £60million transfer from Chelsea last week and will travel on the pre-season tour of the United States. United leave for New York next Wednesday.

"I'm sure he (Mount) will contribute to the success of Man United because he's a quality player and his ambition is to play offensive but also he wants to be motivational, complete," Ten Hag told MUTV. "You have to attack but you also have to defend.
"I'm sure he will bring dynamic into our game and that's one of our analytical conclusions after last season. We need more dynamic in the midfield department.
"It's a big advantage [to sign players early]. You always hope as a manager you have the players in the first moment then across the pre-season you can work on routines."
The United players who were on international duty in June will return to the club over the next week so they are available for the three-game tour in the States, where United will also spend a week training in San Diego.
United played 62 games last season, which only ended less than six weeks ago with the FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
Ten Hag welcomed the summer break. "I'm refreshed and I see also the team is refreshed but we needed a break. It was a tough season, we closed it but we have a foundation to build further on."
