Manchester United will be without Antony, Casemiro and Anthony Martial for their Premier League showdown with Leeds on Wednesday night.
With Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek also missing through injury, Erik ten Hag's United squad has been stretched ahead of the Old Trafford clash. Casemiro begins a three-match ban following his red card for violent conduct in Saturday's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, while Antony joins Martial - who missed the win over the Eagles - on the treatment table.
Asked about Martial and McTominay, who missed the Palace win, Ten Hag said: “They are not involved tomorrow and the same with Antony. He is also not available tomorrow, so we will have to sort it out.”
On the showdown with Leeds, Ten Hag said: “It's the match of the roses, it's definitely a big game. In this part of England, it's a big game for us. We know we have Manchester City and Liverpool, but for our fans this means so much and our players are aware of that and know what to do.”
Ten Hag offered his sympathy to former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch, who was sacked on Monday and said changing managers frequently was not the route to success for clubs.
“It's always sad if a manager, a colleague, gets sacked,” said Ten Hag. “In general, I don't believe in it, that you sack a manager and get better results, because most of the time it doesn't work. Let the manager finish their work and then make a good evaluation.
“But the pressure is high with decision makers at football clubs and they can turn. But if you see the facts, most of the time it doesn't work out well.”
Asked if Leeds can spring a surprise on Wednesday, Ten Hag said: “Definitely, and you don't know. We have to be aware of that. When Jesse Marsch was at Leeds, it was clear how they played - the way of play, their system, their style.
“Now it's possible they change, it's possible they don't change, we will only find out on the pitch tomorrow, but we need good anticipation for that. Better anticipation, for instance, than against Aston Villa. The difference when Unai Emery came in was they had a week to prepare and now they don't have so much time to prepare. So we will see, but we need to be proactive.”
