Erik ten Hag is ready to clear out 10 players from Manchester United as he arrived in London for crunch talks.
The Dutchman touched down in the capital on Wednesday after flying in from Amsterdam by private jet. Ten Hag was immediately whisked to United's Mayfair offices to meet other high-ranking club officials including Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough.
Ten Hag will be in the stands for United's final Premier League game of the season at Crystal Palace but will not meet the players until Monday when he officially takes over, out of respect for interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
The former Ajax boss wants to see Man United up and close personal to form an opinion on the squad and how exactly it can be improved.
United's recruitment will certainly be on the agenda during the meetings this week with wholesale changes expected this summer. It is understood Ten Hag has told United's hierarchy his immediate focus is the spine of the team, with a central defender, central midfielder and a striker the priority.
In the other direction, a mass exodus is on the cards. Nemanja Matic is the first casualty of the manager's rebuild as the midfielder announced his decision to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
And as many as nine players could join the Serbian as United prepare to hit the reset button after what's been a very disappointing campaign.
Dean Henderson has re-opened talks with Newcastle, but the Magpies have been put off by his £50million price tag. A loan deal, however, could be on the cards.

United will also listen to offers for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka who has been frozen out the side during Rangnick's tenure with Diogo Dalot taking his place.
The Red Devils are also prepared to part ways with Eric Bailly and Phil Jones as they look to add a centre-back to their ranks with talks ongoing with Ajax star Jurrien Timber.
United's departures will be dominated by players leaving as free agents headlined by Paul Pogba who is in talks with Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. The midfielder has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester City due to fears of a potential backlash from United fans.
Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Lee Grant and Jesse Lingard are all out of contract as well and will depart Old Trafford at the end of the season.
