Erik ten Hag pictured in England for first time since Manchester United appointment

Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was photographed in London on Thursday as he met with United chiefs to start mapping out their rebuild.

The Dutchman had already held talks in Amsterdam over summer plans before flying to England to meet with Richard Arnold and John Murtough. The 52-year-old was whisked off to the meeting almost immediately after the private jet he was on had landed, the Mirror adds.

Ten Hag was pictured as he continues his short stay in London, which will include a visit to Selhurst Park to watch United take on Crystal Palace on Sunday. There, he'll be hoping to spot the issues he needs to tackle and which players he'll want to keep at the club next season.

Ten Hag isn't expected to be involved in any of the pre-match preparations. The Dutchman has confirmed several United players have already sent him messages ahead of his arrival.

His assessment this weekend could dictate who he aims to sign before the start of the next campaign. Frenkie de Jong, Jurrien Timber and Antony have all been linked with potential moves to Old Trafford in recent weeks.
