Manchester United's players will sit down with Erik ten Hag and analyse what went wrong against Manchester City on Monday.
That's according to Christian Eriksen, who gave an honest assessment of United's abject performance after their 6-3 defeat in the Manchester derby. Ten Hag's side went into the match with confidence after a four-game winning streak in the league but were soon given a reality check as City blew them away. It could have come even earlier but only eight minutes were on the clock when Phil Foden opened the scoring.
"As a group, everyone will be looking at themselves, we will have a meeting with the manager tomorrow to go through everything that went wrong today," Eriksen told Sky Sports.
Fernandes holds hands up after derby defeat
Bruno Fernandes has claimed that Manchester United's players lacked 'attitude and belief' in the Manchester derby.
United prepared for the derby with a degree of optimism earlier this week, but they were quickly brought back down to earth after four successive Premier League wins with an embarrassing 6-3 defeat against rivals Manchester City at the Etihad.
"I think the attitude and the belief from the beginning was not the best," Fernandes told MUTV . "I think that caused us many problems and made us concede early goals. I think the second half was much better, we kept control more.
