Erik ten Hag has indicated that Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit in time for the World Cup despite missing Manchester United's win over Fulham on Sunday. Alejandro Garnacho scored late on to secure the three points for United in a closely fought contest at Craven Cottage.
Ronaldo, 37, has registered just three goals in 16 appearances so far this season and missed the win at Fulham, having also missed the Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa.
It is unclear whether or not Ronaldo will be part of the Portugal side that faces Nigeria in a friendly on Thursday night before their World Cup campaign begins against Ghana next week.

When asked about the Portuguese forward after the win over Fulham, Ten Hag, speaking before news of Ronaldo's bombshell interview with Piers Morgan emerged, said: "Cristiano is ill. I don't think it's that bad and he can recover from this."
United head into the World Cup break fifth in the table, and although things could be better, Ten Hag insists he is still happy with the recent progress his side has made.
"I think we have a base," he told Sky Sports. "We're going in the right direction, the culture has changed. The attitude has changed and that's good. We have also improved. We have got a better mentality and you saw that today with the winner in the last minute.
"We are now united, we have togetherness. The dressing room, the staff, the directors, the whole club and the fans. I'm really happy with that development."
