Erik ten Hag wants the Manchester United hierarchy to be more ruthless in the transfer market this summer as he bids to overhaul his playing squad - and £73million man Jadon Sancho is just one of the players whose long-term future is at risk.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a good season under Ten Hag but the Dutchman is eager to continue his rebuilding project in the summer transfer window and will expect funds to reshape his squad regardless of whether or not they go on to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.
There are a number of players who Ten Hag would be willing to part ways with at the end of the season, with many of them former first-team regulars. And for the first time, it seems as though Sancho's long-term future could be under threat.
According to The Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag is growing 'impatient' with the former Borussia Dortmund winger, who has struggled to emulate the form that made him one of the most sought-after forward's in the world during his time in the Bundesliga.
The 23-year-old has made just five appearances during the second half of the season after missing the club's mid-season training camp in Spain to train alone in the Netherlands with coaches recommended by Ten Hag.
And although he scored in his first game back following that hiatus, the England winger has failed to kick on and make a regular impact in the first-team fold.

While it remains to be seen if Sancho will be given more time to salvage his Old Trafford career, Ten Hag is ready to axe a number of players who have fallen out of favour for good at the end of the current campaign.
Beleaguered club captain Harry Maguire will be made available for transfer after losing his first-team spot while Brandon Williams, Alex Telles and Anthony Martial will also be put on the market. Eric Bailly will join them on the transfer list if he fails to make the required number of appearances to trigger a permanent move to Marseille.
It is understood that the club will also listen to offers for academy graduate Dean Henderson, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest. It was claimed last week that clubs have already 'made contact' over a permanent deal for the goalkeeper.
There is also interest in Scott McTominay from Newcastle, although it remains to be seen if United would do business over the Scottish midfielder. The club are planning to facilitate loan moves for Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri next season, while the future of Amad - who has impressed on loan at Sunderland - is unclear.
