Erik Ten Hag fires Nottingham Forest warning ahead of Man United clash

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has warned Nottingham Forest that his side will have learned their lessons from their recent defeat to Arsenal.

United lost 3-2 against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in Premier League action on Sunday, and Ten Hag has reflected on the match ahead of facing Nottingham Forest tonight (Wednesday).

Ten Hag's men will visit the City Ground in Carabao Cup semi-final action, as Forest play host in the first leg of the tie. The Man United boss gave his pre-match thoughts in his press conference this week, and had some stern words for his men.

"We left it behind and we said the right conclusions then we have to move forward and quickly because tomorrow is a big game and focus on that," Ten Hag stressed when asked about his team's reaction to defeat against Arsenal.

"I think a lot of games we did very well (defensively), we had a lot of clean sheets. Against Manchester City we defended very well. In general, against Arsenal we defended very well.

"I don't think they get clean shots, there was one time from a free-kick. The rest were shots from cutbacks, shots from distance, defenders from us in between the ball and the goal.

"And that's what I meant that all of the goals were avoidable and it can't happen, that was my point, it cannot happen. When you concede three goals in a top game it is really difficult to win the game and that's what happened.

"It's one of the conclusions so it can't happen and we set that conclusion, we talked about, we showed them, we have to learn and take this lesson."
