Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said Manchester United's strikers 'loved' taking part in training drills put on by Robin van Persie earlier this month.
The Manchester Evening News reported that Van Persie, who is the Feyenoord assistant coach, was spending time back at United's Carrington training complex as he looks to earn further coaching badges after hanging up his boots in 2019.
Van Persie passed on tips about finishing to youngsters Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri during his coaching session with the club's first-team.

Ten Hag has since claimed that it was a great opportunity for his strikers to learn from the Dutchman. The former forward spent three seasons at United, scoring 58 goals in 105 appearances before he was allowed to join Fenerbahce a year before his contract expired.
''I think it’s always great to have such icons in. While he did fantastic here at Manchester United, I think he is also an icon for the fans and our players can learn a lot from him," Ten Hag told United's in-house media.
"His experience, his skill and he did some exercises with our strikers, they loved it, to be involved him. We want to help Robin van Persie. He is now planning a management career, so we give him the opportunity to look around, get experiences and hopefully it will help him to construct his career.
"He is really fanatic, and he really consists of the fact he wants to become a manager. He is taking the right steps, and one day, he will be a manager.''
Following his visit to Carrington, Van Persie took to social media to express his gratitude to Ten Hag and the club for providing him with an opportunity to work on the training ground. He posted a photo of himself with Benni McCarthy, Garnacho and Pellistri.
"Thanks for the warm welcome Manchester United and Erik ten Hag. A great time back at Carrington for a trip down memory lane and to learn the ropes from one of the best coaches in modern football," he wrote on Instagram.
