Erik ten Hag explains how he's developed Rashford and Fernandes relationship at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag has explained how he has subtly gone about developing the relationship between Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes in training.

Manchester United have been transformed under their new manager this season and could still add more silverware to the Carabao Cup they won in February. One of the biggest differences from last year's dreary campaign has been the rejuvenation of the club's forwards.

Marcus Rashford has already achieved his highest goal tally for a single season with 27 strikes in a roaring return to form as well as adding seven assists. Bruno Fernandes has also been back to his best this year and has registered eight goals and 10 assists.

The pair have been working well together and Ten Hag has explained that he's worked to hone their understanding.

"Yes," he replied when asked by Robin van Persie for BT Sport if he's worked to develop the partnership. "You have to find out where are the connections and once you feel that players have a connection with each other and you can improve it.

"Not by focusing every day on it but just by simple putting together in drills, showing them video clips of how they can take benefit of each other."

Ten Hag also discussed how he loves to discuss the club with legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson and how he can still feel his impact at United.

"Every day," he said when asked if he could still feel Ferguson's presence. "Every day he's here and you feel. I think he bring the winning mentality but also an eye for creativity, always good strikers, you were one of them, and big personalities who decided big games. He brought it at this club and it's great to talk to him about it."
