Ten Hag drops hint over United midfield
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and his developing squad continued pre-season preparations with yet another training session at Carrington on Thursday.
After meeting their United teammates for the first time, Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen both played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Wrexham on Wednesday afternoon. The photos taken at Thursday's session mainly featured those granted rest-time for that game against National League opponents.
However, that meant big-name players were also back on the training ground after a 'secret' midweek challenge. MEN Sport spotted four things from this latest session at Carrington.

La Liga president sends Ronaldo message
La Liga president Javier Tebas wants Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Spain.
The future of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been one of the main talking points at United so far this summer transfer window. Ronaldo was pictured driving into Carrington on Tuesday - along with 'super agent' Jorge Mendes - before crunch talks with Erik ten Hag over his United future.
Ronaldo was absent on the club's pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia, citing family reasons for missing those four friendly matches. Ronaldo has yet to feature under Ten Hag, either. However, the Dutchman has been adamant that former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo will feature in his plans this season.
