Erik ten Hag has hinted that Manchester United should have Jurrien Timber 'in their sights' this summer.
The Eredivisie season officially ended at the weekend but Ajax had already been crowned league champions ahead of the final day of the campaign. That league triumph was Ten Hag's third Eredivisie title with Ajax and his arrival at United is now imminent.
Ten Hag has joined United on a three-year contract with the option of another year and he'll oversee an unprecedented rebuild at the club. There are multiple incomings and outgoings expected at Old Trafford this summer after an awful season.

United are expected to strengthen at centre-forward, defensive midfield and at centre-back across the coming months.
Timber is a centre-back and he's excelled under Ten Hag at Ajax, which has led to reports linking him to United. The 20-year-old made a total of 43 appearances for Ajax during the season and he was instrumental in their Eredivisie title defence.
Ten Hag was asked about Timber's future this weekend and he gave the youngster a glowing appraisal, speaking to the De Telegraaf.
“I think that all top clubs in Europe have Timber in their sights, but I think that currently applies to a lot of Ajax players," Ten Hag said.
"If Antony were to go, it would be a loss for Ajax, because you have no one in the current selection who can take over his position.”
Timber is contracted at Ajax until the summer of 2024.
