Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to stay at Manchester United for the time being after a U-turn by manager Erik ten Hag.
The former England youth international, 24, has fallen behind Diogo Dalot in the pecking order and was tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer. He's played just four minutes of Premier League football this term, coming off the bench during the win against Liverpool.
Wan-Bissaka joined United from Crystal Palace in a £50million deal three years ago. He was a regular under former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during his first two seasons at the club - playing 100 games - but fell out of favour under his successor Ralf Rangnick.
Wan-Bissaka started just two of United's final 10 Premier League games last season. The right-back has received praise for his defending but often lacks quality in attacking positions, scoring just two goals and providing 14 assists during his 173-game club career.
"I think the right-back [Wan-Bissaka] is probably not good enough," said Roy Keane in August 2021. He added two months later: "Wan-Bissaka, I don't even think Palace would take him back! He’s not good enough for Man Utd. No feel for the ball, decision making."
Despite losing his place at United, Wan-Bissaka is not expected to complete a summer transfer. As reported by The Athletic, United have no intention of selling or loaning the defender - who has two years left on his contract - before Thursday's transfer deadline.

That's because Ten Hag would need to bring in a replacement right-back. Wan-Bissska could potentially leave United if a successor is identified, with rumours claiming Borussia Dortmund star Thomas Meunier could move to Old Trafford this week.
Another potential replacement is Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest. United have reportedly discussed a swap deal involving the USA international - who has made 72 appearances during the last two seasons - and Wan-Bissaka with the Spanish giants.
Both transfers seem unlikely at this moment in time. It's believed United have rejected approaches for Wan-Bissaka from West Ham and his ex-club Palace, which suggests the defender is going nowhere and neither Meunier, 30, nor Dest, 21, are part of their plans.
Reports earlier this summer claimed Ten Hag would allow Wan-Bissaka to leave United, with Dalot remaining on their books. Yet the Dutchman hasn't made drastic changes to their squad, bringing in just four players since starting work at Old Trafford in May.
Those players are Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, Christian Eriksen from Brentford, Lisandro Martinez from Ajax and Casemiro from Real Madrid. Ajax winger Antony is on the verge of becoming Ten Hag's fifth signing of the summer in an £85m deal.
Antony was spotted arriving at United's Carrington training ground on Monday. "We stick to the plan and if there are good players available we will strike because we want to strengthen the squad always," said Ten Hag on Saturday afternoon.
