Erik ten Hag can lead Man United to key target as Cristiano Ronaldo impact on Harry Maguire explained

Here are your Manchester United evening headlines for Thursday, March 31.

United could land key transfer target thanks to Erik ten Hag

Reports are growing suggesting that exciting PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo could be on the move this summer. He’s been one of the Eredivisie’s standout players this season, scoring 16 goals while registering a further 15 assists.

His goal contributions plus the high standard of his performances have attracted the interest of many top European sides, although interest cooled at the beginning of the year when the 22-year-old opted to sign a new deal with the Dutch side until 2026. That initially deterred some interested parties, but there’s now a growing school of thought that perhaps the deal was signed in order to guarantee a better transfer fee for PSV, who it’s believed could still be open to selling the forward this summer.

Neville and Carragher agree about Ronaldo and Maguire relationship

His campaign has consisted of committing a whole host of individual errors and he's been forced to withstand his fair share of criticism. There have even been calls to strip the former Leicester City defender of the captaincy.

Neville has revealed he understands how Maguire must currently be feeling, suggesting that Ronaldo's arrival at the club last August changed the dressing room dynamic.
