Erik ten Hag has been urged to snap up West Ham star Jarrod Bowen to resolve Manchester United's issues on the right-hand side of their attack.
After wrapping up the Eredivisie title with Ajax last week, Ten Hag has now turned his attention to the mammoth rebuilding job that awaits him at Old Trafford. The Dutchman is expected to be busy in the transfer market, with a major cull of United's underperforming playing squad on the cards.
United's issues in defence and central midfield have been well-documented, but there are other issues that Ten Hag will need to resolve. One issue that has flown under the radar is the dearth of options that United currently have on the right-wing, with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho - who are both woefully out of form - favouring a spot on the left flank.
But Andy Townsend has tipped Bowen to be the perfect solution to United's right-wing conundrum. The 25-year-old has been in sizzling form for the Hammers this year, netting 18 goals and laying on 13 assists - and Townsend believes Bowen would be perfect to lead the rebuild at Old Trafford.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Townsend said: "Jarrod Bowen has been great. He’s been so good lately. I tell you what, I bet you West Ham get a bid or two for him in the summer, I bet they do.
"Would you have him at Manchester United? Like a shot you would. He can play anywhere. I’ve seen him play up the middle for West Ham, on one side. For United, he’d get in the team wherever he likes! I would play him off the right-hand side."

Bowen - who is predominantly left-footed - has thrived on the right-hand side for West Ham and played a key role in their bid for European glory. Unsurprisingly, his dazzling displays this term have attracted some big-name suitors; Liverpool were linked with the former Hull City star on a weekly basis before they snapped up Luis Diaz in January.
The Hammers are desperate to tie their talisman down to a bumper new deal, with a report from The Daily Mail earlier this week revealing that the Londoners have offered to double the winger's £60,000-a-week wages. However, it remains to be seen if there if a risk that some of Europe's heavyweights, like United, will be able to swoop in before an agreement can be reached.
West Ham are also trying to tie down Bowen's team-mate, Declan Rice; another star who has been linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford. The Hammers are adamant that Rice will not be leaving the club this summer, but they failed with an ambitious bid to tie the England star down to a new eight-year contract last week.
