Erik ten Hag says Manchester United have a plan to deal with Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Kane has plundered 31 goals in 52 games for Spurs and England this season and is Ten Hag's preferred target to sharpen the United attack in the summer.
Sources say United do not want to get involved in Spurs chairman Daniel Levy's games, such is his propensity to drag out negotiations for deals involving Tottenham players.

Manchester City failed with their efforts to buy Kane in the summer of 2021 and it was not until August 25 that Kane confirmed he would be staying at Spurs.
United beat Tottenham 2-0 in a dominant performance at Old Trafford in October and have won their last four against the north Londoners, restricting Kane to only one goal - a penalty.
"It's quite clear, his impact on the game from Spurs," Ten Hag said of Kane. "We have a plan for that and in the home game we did very well, so for tomorrow we need a very good plan as well.
"You have to defend as a team, he's a clever player, don't allow him to come into the situations, he can have a big impact on the game."
United are two places above Spurs, who have fallen down to sixth in the Premier League table after their 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle on Sunday and Aston Villa's defeat of Fulham on Tuesday night.
Cristian Stellini was sacked as caretaker manager on Monday and Ryan Mason has been installed in charge for the remainder of the campaign.
Although Tottenham's season is spiralling, Ten Hag insists the midweek fixture is still significant. "Very. You see the table. It's quite clear but the approach, our approach will not change.
"Our approach is we want to win every game, it doesn't matter who the opponent is."
United recovered from another setback with victory on a penalty shootout in the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton, having been ejected from the Europa League in Seville three days earlier.
Ten Hag conceded the next challenge is for the United players to respond to setbacks in-game "They (the players) are resilient. They are able to do it, it's not easy but they can do it.
"Now we have to make the next step to do it in games where you get a setback. You can have a bad setback but show your character and personality in the game to bounce back."
