Erik ten Hag admits major Jadon Sancho problem after Manchester United star misses training camp

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho could be set for a long spell on the sidelines, according to Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils placed Sancho, 22, on an individual training programme over the World Cup break after he suffered an unspecified injury in early November.

That meant Ten Hag left the player at home for United’s training camp in Spain.

And the manager has admitted he does not currently have a return date in mind for Sancho.

“[Sancho]'s not fit enough to be here,” he told reporters at their Spanish training camp. “First, we didn't see him the last games for United.

“So he wasn't in the right status, in the right fitness state, so now he's on an individual programme and we want him to finish that programme and hopefully, we see him back soon.

“We want to bring him back as quickly as possible but I can't give a prognosis of when that will be.”
