Sports Direct have released not one but THREE Christmas adverts to promote their 2022 festive range.
All three clips, which last for around 20 seconds, feature Manchester United legend Eric Cantona and will now doubt leave fans in stitches due to their hilarious storylines. The adverts centre around Sport Direct's "Give Me Football" campaign, a theme which runs alongside this year's World Cup in Qatar that ends just seven days before Christmas Day.
Cantona is joined in the star-studded adverts by Thierry Henry, Mason Mount, Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen, Emma Hayes, Gabriel Jesus and iconic football commentator Clive Tyldesley. All three videos were released to the public on Thursday morning.
In the first advert - called "Family Dinner" - Cantona, Hayes, Henry and Jesus enjoy Christmas dinner. Instead of a Turkey, Cantona brings out a football and says, "Give me football". Hayes then asks Jesus for the salt, but the Arsenal ace only accepts his Chelsea rival's request on Henry's approval. Henry is a Gunners legend, of course.
Then, out of nowhere, Tyldesley appears from a hole in the table and says, "Oh Jesus has put it on a plate for her!" The advert ends with Henry saying to Cantona, "Eric, can you pass me the..." - but the United legend shuts down the request immediately.
In the second advert - called "Directa" - a mum asks her two sons if they want to go outside while they're playing a football video game. She then asks a home assistant device - "Directa" - for the weather, to which Cantona replies, "The weather today is perfect for football!"

When the mum attempts to reply back to the home assistant device, Cantona shouts, "Football, football, give me football!" The mum then asks her kids, "So... football?" To which the two kids - shown as Rice and Bowen - nod and continue playing the video game.
Rice then jokingly clips Bowen around the ear and the mum tells the West Ham ace, "Declan! No!"
In the third and final advert - called "Eau de Football" - Mount is dressed as a gladiator from ancient Rome and walks up some stairs to approach a pair of Nike football boots while snow falls around him. As he approaches the boots, he takes off his gladiator uniform and puts on his England kit.
Cantona then suddenly appears and tells Mount, "Give me football". He smells the boots and says, "Eau de Football... oh old friend, how I've missed you". Cantona and Mount then look at each other and fail to control their laughter before the light-hearted advert ends.
Sports Direct announced: "Coming to life as a trio of 20 second adverts, each playful parody reflects on the classic festive themes typically presented on TV screens during the Christmas season, but with a comedic football twist."
Several retailers have released their Christmas advert for 2022, as JD announced theirs earlier this week. JD's campaign features boxing superstar Anthony Joshua and seven high-profile footballers, including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.
