Eric Bailly has sent a parting message to Paul Pogba after the midfielder’s expected departure was confirmed by Manchester United on Wednesday.
Pogba leaves after six years at the club. He is being tipped for a return to Juventus, whom he left for United in a club record £89m transfer.
The World Cup winner managed to get his hands on a League Cup and Europa League in 2017 under Jose Mourinho but has been unable to guide the club to more silverware in the years since. His performances have left some United fans frustrated given his hefty price tag.

Pogba's last appearance for the club was in the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in April when he limped off after ten minutes. A few days prior, he was seen cupping his hands to supporters who were firing expletives at him after full-time in the 3-2 win over Norwich.
The United academy graduate sees his contract expire on June 30, when he will say his goodbyes to his teammates for the final time. Bailly is one, and the centre-half sent a message to Pogba on Instagram.
He wrote: “I’m gonna miss you bro.” The defender may also leave Old Trafford this summer.
New boss Erik ten Hag is after at least one more centre-half to add to his squad. It would mean Bailly would be restricted to even less game time with the Ivory Coast international currently fourth choice behind Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
Jurrien Timber is being targeted by Ten Hag - Timber having been one of his favourites at Ajax. A deal looks to be close which could prompt Bailly to force a move away.
