Epsom Oaks glory for Aidan O'Brien as Tuesday pips Emily Upjohn in amazing photo finish

Aidan O'Brien has gone into the record books this evening after Tueday, ridden by Ryan Moore, won the Epsom Oaks for him in the most dramatic of fashion.

The 13/2 shot just held off a surge from favourite Emily Upjohn to pip Frankie Dettori's ride into second place after a razor-close photo finish.

Tuesday looked set to be reeled in at the line but just got over first on the bob.

It was Wexford native O'Brien's tenth win in The Oaks yet despite the latest landmark achievement in his storied career, he was quick to spread the credit amongst his entire team afterwards.

Speaking to ITV, he said: "It feels unbelievable for us to be a part of the whole thing at Ballymore and Coolmore.

"We're a small part of the team and I feel very privileged to be part of it. I'm so delighted for everybody because they put in so much." work - day in and out. So it's unbelievable when everyone gets the return out of it."

He added: "She's 100% home-bred and she's sisters there and everything.

"Ryan gave her a brilliant ride and Jamie did a brilliant job, Dean rides her out every day, there's Trevor who looks after her...there's so many people. I'm forgetting to mention loads of people but we're all so grateful to everybody for it.

"That's what makes the difference, that's what makes it happen."

Rounding out the result, it was Nashwa and Hollie Doyle who came in third.
