Epsom Derby 2022: Date, start time, preview, race card, schedule, betting odds, TV channel, live stream

Falling on the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday, even more attention than usual is likely to be on today’s Epsom Derby.

The Queen is unlikely to attend and doesn’t have a runner in the race this year, with Desert Crown leading the market and well-fancied to give Sir Michael Stoute a sixth victory in the race.

The most recent of those came 12 years ago, when Workforce won by seven lengths, and Aidan O’Brien looks to be the strongest challenge to him as he runs Changingoftheguard, Stone Age and Star of India.

This year’s race will be run in honour of Lester Piggott, the nine-time Derby winner, who died last week at the age of 86.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s card at Epsom.
