Enzo Fernandez has lifted the lid on adjusting to life in London following his move to Chelsea in January. The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge after winning the 'best young player' award at the World Cup in Qatar.
The Blues managed to wrap up a deal with Benfica on deadline day, agreeing to pay the Portuguese giants £106.7million in six instalments. Fernandez signed an eight-and-a-half-year contract as he became the most expensive player in the west London club's history.
Despite Chelsea's misfortunes of late, the Argentina international has hit the ground running in the Premier League. In an interview with UEFA, Fernandez has attributed his smooth transition to the friendships he's found with Kai Havertz and Joao Felix – but that's not to say he's adapted to the infamous UK weather conditions yet.

"Adapting always takes time, meeting new players," said the Argentine. "I was among the ten new players that came in [during the winter]. It's hard with different languages, so it's difficult to connect with team-mates at the beginning.
"As time goes by, we start getting to know our team-mates better and it will get better with time. Have I struck up a connection with Kai Havertz and João Félix? We do have this connection, away from the pitch as well.
"But we have many good players. All of our attackers are class and have quality, so all of them can play at the top level. I've adapted quite well. London is very different from Lisbon and from Buenos Aires, we all know that already. It's very cold. I'm still adjusting as best as possible with my family and I'll be fine. London is very beautiful and I'm delighted."
Joao Felix put pen-to-paper on a six-month loan deal with Chelsea in January and, having made a great impression, there is hope among fans that he signs on a permanent basis. football.london understand that there is no option or obligation for the Blues to keep the Atletico Madrid star at Stamford Bridge, but that doesn't necessarily mean they won't be interested in doing so.
The Portugal international, however, did sign an extension with the Spanish giants before leaving on loan — this will protect his value should Diego Simeone decide to offload him in the future, who is expected to demand around £125million for his services.
In the meantime, Fernandez's comments suggest that he could want Chelsea to keep Felix – one of the midfielder's two first friends at his new club.
