Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella drop huge Chelsea team news hints for Aston Villa clash

Enzo Fernandez, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly have all dropped team news hints ahead of Chelsea's clash with Aston Villa this evening in the Premier League. The trio have posted pre-match graphic previews of the clash to their respective Instagram stories.

Both sides head into the tie on 38 points with only a five-goal difference keeping the Blues in the top-ten – a defeat to Unai Emery's Villa will see the west London outfit fall into the bottom half of the table. Chelsea will be hoping to extend their four-game unbeaten streak after enjoying three wins and a draw before the international break.

Villa will also have a spring in their step having recently beaten Bournemouth 3-0. With Potter eager to continue the Blues' vein of form, he'll be hoping that the likes of Fernandez, Cucurella and Koulibaly can do enough to suppress the visitors.

And, ahead of what is poised to be a blockbuster bout, Potter previewed the tie. Speaking to football.london, the Blues boss said: "He (Emery) has done a fantastic job, he's had a fantastic career.

"He's someone I've always looked up to. His career, especially in the Europa League has been outstanding but also at every club he's been at he's influenced the team and the players.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing him. We met only once in that World Cup break and had a game there. Will be nice to see him again. He's a top coach."

Then, on what to expect from the players returning from international duty, Potter added: "They're feeling good. They're professional, they're experienced. They can deal with the demands of international football and Premier League football.

"We've recovered well, they've recovered well. It's a testament to their professionalism and also the staff here and how they help them do that.

"Everyone is keen, everyone is looking forward to seeing each other and there's nice spirit in the team and a nice spirit in the group. We're all looking forward to the weekend and what's ahead."

While Fernandez, Cucurella and Koulibaly posting graphic previews of the Villa fixture on their social media profiles does not necessarily mean they will start, it usually means they will be involved in some capacity. Follow live coverage of the game in our blog here.
