An entire National Trust site has been closed for filming with the 60th anniversary edition of Doctor Who rumoured to be shooting there. Belton House near Grantham is a popular historic venue, especially with families visiting during the summer holidays.
The manor house and estate will be closed for a time this summer as film crews take over. A Doctor Who fan page reported that the upcoming special episode is being filmed there despite the BBC not commenting on the speculation.
Lincolnshire Live reports that the 60th anniversary episode will bring back actors including David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Belton House has been used for filming purposes before, having featured in the BBC's 1995 TV adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth as Mr Darcy.

The mansion itself has been closed for the filming since July 25, but the entire estate has been closed from Wednesday, August 3, until August 12. It will then be closed again from August 17 until August 19 before the mansion then opens again on August 27.
Amid speculation of Doctor Who being filmed at Belton House, BBC have chosen to neither confirm or deny the rumours. In response to the question of Doctor Who being filmed at the estate, a spokesperson from BBC said: "We wouldn’t comment on this I’m afraid."
Pink signs have been seen around the estate with 'JWL' written on them which has brought forward the possibility of a Bridgerton spin-off instead of Doctor Who. Previous series of Bridgerton have featured Wilton House near Salisbury where people have noticed similar 'JWL' signs around the venue.
