The ship has been serving the nation since the summer of 2003 and worked in the Fishery Protection Squadron, the oldest formation in the Royal Navy.
Now, HMS Tyne is part of the Offshore Patrol Squadron and is one of the busiest ships in the fleet.
The ship is typically at sea for around 190 days every year.
It is unclear how long the ship will be docked in Liverpool for and The ECHO has approached Liverpool Cruise Terminal for more information.
