Charlie’s Bar in Enniskillen has been named as the Ulster Pub of the Year at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
The All Ireland Final of the awards took place in Dublin last week, with the best of the hospitality industry across Ireland recognised.
The popular Co Fermanagh pub owned by the Burns family came out on top in the Ulster section for Pub of the Year, with Charlie’s saying they were "immensely proud" to pick up the award.

“We would be lying if we said there weren’t a few tears shed this week. We were immensely proud to accept this award on Monday, at the All-Ireland Restaurant Awards, in Dublin,” the pub said in a post.
“We would like to recognise our incredible staff. The hospitality industry is far from easy but each week, our team puts in a mighty effort to ensure each person feels truly welcome.
“To our loyal customers, some who have been with us from the 1st generation - thank you for your support over the last 78 years and for your patience as we have navigated the choppy waters and the ever changing nature of life in hospitality.
“As a family, we would like to dedicate this award to Charlie and Bea Burns (now celebrating her 99th year).
“What started as a young couple’s dream back in 1944, has become a family legacy, spanning three generations. We hope we have done you proud.”
