Specialist firearms officers and a negotiator have been called to an incident in Fermanagh.
The squad were deployed after a man armed with a knife refused to leave a house in Enniskillen earlier on Sunday.
Local sources say there was a large police presence at the scene as well as an ambulance.
In a brief statement, a PSNI spokesman said: “Police responded to reports of an agitated man armed with a knife in Deer Park in Enniskillen at around 12.30pm today, Sunday 26 March.
“The man, who was inside a property upon police arrival, refused to exit the building when requested by police.
“Armed Response officers and a negotiator were tasked to the scene. After a period of time police brought the situation to a safe resolution and the 35 year old man was taken into police custody.”
