Popular cafe The Jolly Sandwich Bar in Enniskillen has announced the sad passing of its owner Hazel Johnston.
Mrs Johnston (nee Freeburn) died peacefully at her home on the Loughshore Road in Enniskillen on Monday following an illness, according to her heartbroken family.
Her daughter Carina Cutler has since taken over the running of the cafe which was originally started by her grandparents.
In a social media post, she wrote: "Our hearts are torn, Sleep tight Mum."
The award-winning family-run cafe has been a staple in the Co Fermanagh town for years, having originally been set up in Townhall Street then moving up the town to Darling Street in 1999.
Down the years, Mrs Johnston was renowned for serving up the best in hospitality, food and service to locals and visitors alike.
Many tributes have been paid to her since her death was announced on Monday afternoon, acknowledging her kindness and remembering her as "a warm, friendly, beautiful lady" and someone who "always had a smile on her face".
One local businessman said: "Sincere sympathy to Cyril, Ryan, Carina and families. A special lady to all who knew her and will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you."
Another added: "Deepest sympathy to Cyril, Carina, Ryan and the entire family circle at this sad time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all."
Her funeral notice described her as the beloved wife of Cyril, dearly loved mother of Ryan (Martina) and Carina (John), a much loved grandmother of Hugo, Josh, Louie, and Ruby, devoted daughter of Evelyn and the late Robert and sister of Sylvia (the late Wilbert) and Keith (Pamela).
Mrs Johnston's funeral service will take place in her home this Wednesday February 16 at 12 noon followed by burial in Devenish Parish Churchyard in Monea.
The cortege will be taking the route from the family home to Darling Street, Enniskillen pausing at The Jolly Sandwich at approximately 1pm.
